Career Academy Enrollment

The Sioux City Career Academy welcomes students from all over the region.

Students enrolled in a Sioux City Community School District high school (East, North or West), can speak with a school counselor to enroll in Career Academy courses. Students enrolled in any surrounding school districts can call (712) 279-6668 to begin the enrollment process.

What is the Career Academy?

In order to be successful, students today need adaptable skills and knowledge to meet the demands of the ever-changing economy. That is why the Sioux City Community School District created the Sioux City Career Academy. The Career Academy brings together students from 15 high schools in the surrounding community, with the potential to impact nearly 8,500 students annually. Students in the Career Academy can explore any of the 30+ pathways. Each pathway is a career-focused sequence of high school courses that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge. The Career Academy connects workforce needs, community needs, and student needs to provide students with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers.
