The Sioux City Community School District is proud to offer parents/guardians the option to enroll in Virtual School, available for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
Enrollment for Students Residing Inside
the Sioux City Community School District Boundary
Students currently enrolled in the Sioux City Community School District can complete the online registration process to enroll in the Virtual School for the 2021-2022 school year. Students that enroll in the Virtual School will be welcomed into the online learning community. Students will NOT be dual enrolled in a local, on-site boundary school, and therefore will not be eligible to participate in athletics or extra-curricular activities. Current SCCSD students should complete the interest form by March 1, 2021.

Enrollment for Students Residing Outside
the Sioux City Community School District Boundary
Students from outside the Sioux City Community School District looking to open enroll into the Virtual School must submit an application during the Iowa Department of Education’s Open Enrollment window. For any student entering first grade through twelfth grade, the deadline to submit the Open Enrollment application is March 1, 2021. For any student entering kindergarten, the deadline to submit the Open Enrollment application is September 1, 2021. Students entering kindergarten must be five by September 15.
