High School Course Guide

This course is a one-semester course designed to provide information on career options for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare industry. It includes the study of team dynamics and communication techniques necessary to work and succeed in the healthcare field. Students are given opportunities for career exploration through research and projects utilizing the internet and library databases. Students will tour several hospital departments and have an opportunity to hear from healthcare professionals about career options. It also provides instruction in browsing the internet, using email, and other computer literacy tools necessary for taking online courses and for careers in the healthcare industry.
