Martin Luther King Jr. Art Contest Winners to be Honored

Winners have been selected for the 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Art Contest, coordinated by Fine Arts and Community Outreach Program Coordinator Pat Toben. The theme for this year’s art contest is “Love, Peace & Understanding Leads to Respect.”

The winners will be honored and their projects will be displayed at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. for the NAACP’s (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) Annual Community Celebration to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and at the Annual Freedom Fund NAACP Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.

High School

  • 1st Place – Braiden Seibold (EHS)
  • 2nd Place – Autumn McClain (NHS)
  • 3rd Place – Shary Leon Mujo (NHS)

Middle School

  • 1st Place – Cameron Risetter (NMS)
  • 2nd Place – Nancy Le (NMS)
  • 3rd Place – Zoe Johnson (WMS)

Elementary

  • 1st Place – Nevaeh Trudeau (Hunt)
  • 2nd Place – Jocelyn Tang (Spalding Park)
  • 3rd Place – Chante Blades (Riverside)
