Leeds Elementary Students Celebrate Valentines Day
It’s a childhood memory for most adults, and Wednesday, students at Sioux City’s Leeds Elementary got the chance to make some of their own.
The students continued the age-old tradition of exchanging Valentines.
Cupid arriving just in time to make sure the hand crafted boxes on each school desk get a collection of cards.
Students popping the question, “Will you be my valentine?”
Leeds Elementary teacher Susan Tillo said, “It’s not just the candy and the treats but it’s being kind to everybody. Making sure valentines don’t have names on them and they go to everybody because we’re equal friends with everybody in the class, nobody’s treated differently. I think that’s very important and I think that’s what all the teachers here try to stress.”
