First day of school in Sioux City
All across Sioux City, students from as young as kindergarten to high school seniors walked into their classrooms for the first time this school year.
Administrators said they’ve made a commitment to giving their students a quality education right from the first bell, and for the rest of their time in the district.
“Our goal is for all of our students to be successful, for them to meet their goals in learning and preparing them. Whether its preparing our sixth graders to move to seventh grade, or our eighth graders to move on to north high,” said principal Shawn Chesteen at North Middle.
With the support of the district and the excitement of a new beginning, many students are ready to take on the 2018-2019 school year head on.
