SCCSD named “Future Ready District” for 2018-19 school year
Sioux City Community Schools are expanding their efforts to get kids ready for the jobs of tomorrow.
The District has been designated a “Future Ready District” once again by the US Department of Education with four more schools adding “Future Ready” programs and teams, joining three from last year.
“We’re getting a look at what the classrooms are going to look like. They’ve been transformed and now we’re excited for the students to arrive on August 23rd to experience this new learning experience,” said Associate Superintendent Kim Buryanek.
The Future Ready program is a major part of the District’s strategic plan over the next 4 years and includes investments in infrastructure, classroom design, and teacher support.
