North High students give back to community with service project
Many schools in the area have a variety of activities to celebrate homecoming.
North High School includes a service project to give back to the community.
For the past three years, students have filled care packages to give to cancer patients at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center.
The bags contain snacks, hand sanitizer and other basics, as well as a handwritten note from a student who helped fill their care package.
“I enjoy giving back. During the year we always volunteer. And so this is just an added thing that’s personally from North High. Showing like our compassion and stuff to those that have cancer right now,” said Rylie Maliszewski, North HS Junior.
The students plan to prepare 200 bags for this year’s service project.
