West High students get life lessons from activist
Students at West High School in Sioux City had a special guest Friday.
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) speaker and social justice advocate A.P. Tureaud spoke with students about his life experiences and the adversity he’s faced.
He educated students on the history of slavery and racism in this country.
He also encouraged the kids to do their part in the world and never judge a book by it’s cover.
