“100+ Women Who Care” make a nice contribution to Sioux City Public Schools
Tuesday the “100 Plus Women Who Care: Siouxland Chapter” gave a local non-profit a sizable donation. There, the group presented the Sioux City Public Schools Foundation with a check for $8,900.
Organizers say they get the satisfaction out of being part of a group, dedicated to contributing to the community, one non-profit at a time.
“The ‘100 + Women Who Care’ organization is such a vital part of the Siouxland community. We’re thrilled to be the recipient of the funds for this quarter to make an enormous impact on our school district and on our schools.” said Kari Treinen, Exec. Dir. Sioux City Public Schools Foundation
Kari Treinen says the money will likely help fund projects in the Sioux City Community Schools – projects involving Science, Technology, Engineering and Math– also known as STEM. The money could also help buy the items needed to stock the North High School Food Pantry and buy caps and gowns for graduating seniors, who need assistance.
