Hunt Elementary School plans farewell event for building built in 1906

Staff, faculty, and students of Hunt Elementary are preparing to say goodbye to their beloved building. It’s the oldest within the Sioux City Community School District. It was built in 1906.

In 2022, Hunt Elementary School will unveil their newly constructed building, but until then the students will be spending the next three years in a temporary home.

The Hunt Elementary school has scheduled a farewell event for the building on April 28 from 12 – 1:30. This event is open to the public.

Hunt Elementary School Principal Cami Barker stopped by our KCAU 9 studio to tell us about the upcoming move.
