Seniors at Sioux City East High School celebrated their future plans with a “College and Career Signing Day” on May 14, 2019.

The students signed a paper to ‘commit’ to a college, military, or a full-time career.

Organizers say the day was an opportunity for the students to look ahead. They say it was also a time for the students to see where everyone else is going.

Students added it was nice to have a day to appreciate the milestone, and now move forward to the next chapter in their lives.

“We all took group pictures, everybody, no matter what school you went to, getting together because we’ve been together for four years,” said Noelle Rasmussen, a student at East High School.

“We’re just celebrating everyone, no matter what their path is,” said Elizabeth Walden, a student at East High School.

Seniors at East High, North High, and West High will go through graduation ceremonies at different times on May 25 at the Tyson Events Center.
