Students at Hunt Elementary take part in “Community Arts Day”
Sioux City’s arts-focused elementary school gave students a chance to experience different forms of art on Thursday.
It was “Community Arts Day” at Hunt A+ Arts Elementary with artists, musicians and dancers all showing students different forms of art and how they create and perform.
“Being an A+ school, we focus on arts integration in the areas of drama, visual arts, and dance and we love looking at areas to help them be creative,” said Cami Baker, Principal of Hunt Elementary.
Some of the exhibitors included a dance troupe and even Sioux City Superintendent Dr. Paul Gausmann, who gave students a drumming lesson.
