SCCSD Students Featured in the Sioux City Art Center’s 30th Annual Juried Youth Art Exhibition

March is designated as Youth Art Month (YAM) to show the importance of art education. YAM is an annual, nationwide celebration to display children’s artwork and to show public support towards art programs. This gives young artists a chance to express and show off their creativity through an art-making process.
Each year around this time, the Sioux City Art Center features local talent in the Youth Art Exhibition. The 30th Annual Juried Youth Art Exhibition is open now until April 12.
Of the entries on display, several feature students from the Sioux City Community School District. Submissions include various works of art, including sculptures and portraits. Congratulations to these Sioux City Community School Districts participants and award winners for the 2020 exhibit:
