Now, the district is working to get them the devices and "hot spots" so students can learn virtually under the district's hybrid learning plan. The school district has bought MiFi Hotspots to distribute. "T-Mobile is the company that won the mobile quote for our mobile devices and they are able to deliver them in the first week of September," said John Pritchard of the SCCSD.

Read MoreThe Sioux City Community School District is once again participating in the Summer Food Service Program, beginning June 3, 2020, through Aug 14, 2020 (closed Jul 3). Meals are available Monday - Friday for all children ages 1-18 years without charge. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
