Career Education

Career education for all students, grades pre-kindergarten through twelve, is the identification and development of students’ personal interests, preferences, and skills which connect to future careers. Career education is incorporated into the total education program and includes, but is not limited to, an awareness of self in relation to others and the needs of society, exploration of employment opportunities, experiences in personal decision-making, experiences that help students connect work values into all aspects of their lives, and the development of employability skills. The Board, in its review of curriculum, shall review the integration of career education with other instructional programs to insure that it is infused into each curricular area.
